Modeling career for Joe?

Man!  Time has just flown by me!

Three years ago I was in Phoenix, Arizona a few days after the birth of my twin granddaughters.  Thursday of this week they will be three.

To celebrate this great big event in their life I drug Joe with me to Tuesday Morning and the Dollar Tree to outfit my two princesses properly.  Their aunt, Heidi Jo, has already blessed the girls with jewelry befitting any young lady that wants to play dress up.

Michelle Birdsong, unknowingly, participated in the girls gift as well.  Michelle, from Wilmington, North Carolina sent me a whole bunch of wonderful stuff several months ago.  Among the bounty were some handmade fabric flowers.  Sorry, the photos are really bad!

While at Tuesday Morning with Joe, he protested loudly and vigorously when I selected two different dresses.  It is Joe’s strong opinion that the dresses need to be EXACTLY the same.  Personally, I think it is best to be different.  Maybe the sameness will cut down on any altercations in which dress is who’s.

Here is Joe, modeling the “Pink Ensemble”.

Each girl gets a pair of heels to go with her special dress.  Of course, a Princess must have a different crown for special events.

The crowns Joe models have a “Wand” attached.  Let’s just hope that the wands get used for loving and kind purposes and not evil doing.  One can always hope anyway.

Happy Birthday my precious Ruth and Pearl.

On a side note, I am beginning to get my strength and energy back.  I am working at getting my craft room sorted so I can resume tutorials for my YouTube channel.  The past month I have been getting my house in order.

June 27th will be one year since I was diagnosed with Stage 3 Breast Cancer.  I have SURVIVED the chemotherapy and the radiation therapy.  My house has not.  So in order to get my mind and body back to better health I had to alleviate my biggest stress.  Thoroughly clean my house room by room.  It has taken well over a month….which required daily naps of three or more hours to accomplish.  Along with several trips to the Goodwill.

I have several more doctor visits in the coming weeks.  Joe will be home with me so I can harass him into being oddly featured in my blog posts and upcoming YouTube videos.  Isn’t he just so very lucky?  😀

Leslie, it is SO good to hear from you again!!! I have kept you in my heart and prayers. Grateful that you have felt well enough to get your house cleaned. I’m still working on mine, haven’t even finished one room. I wish I had as good a report on Lance. He was finally put on hospice care three weeks ago and has gone downhill quickly. The hospice nurse told Karen that she felt like he probably had two months left, but both Karen and I feel it will a shorter period of time..
Joe is a good sport for being your model.

Toni, my sweet friend. I continue to hold you and your family in prayer as you deal with this most difficult time in your lives. My heart aches for you and your daughter-in-law as you both deal with Lance and has final struggles. I pray for Lance that his allotted time left is in comfort and surrounded by love. I sure do wish that I was near you to give you a hug and a shoulder to cry on.
      Love you – Leslie

Bless you and anxious for more videos.. Love from Barbara Troxell. Hi to you Joe love the pink and purple color choices.

Congratulations, Barbara!! Twins are a handful! From birth onward. Good grief, all the things one child can get in…magnified times 2!

I’m so thrilled for you and your family. Thank you for your encouraging words for me. I appreciate you very much my friend.

Poor Joe, my thoughts are with him. So glad to see your post. I have been wondering how you were doing. Finally back to some sort of normality now, that’s good. The frustration of boredom and lack of independence can really get to you after a while. So glad you still have your sanity lol Looking forward to seeing your new videos. Don’t overdo it. Big hugs and love xxxx

Thank you, Michelle. I appreciate your words of encouragement.

I often think of you and your physical struggles…then I feel like a real boob (or a One Boob)! I’m getting closer to having the time and space to get creative once again. You and I are both looking forward to what is next 😀

      Love you – Leslie
