Update Info On “Linky”

Thank you Lynn and Shelly for being the “testers” of this feature.

In my investigation I have found the following:

  1. Right now I am the only one that sees the linked blogs.
  2. At the end of the one week time period I will be able to EXPORT the links to my blog so others can visit your sites.
  3. When a person clicks on the link to the original post to link their blog, nothing will happen on that person’s end.  You have not made a mistake it is part of the way it works.
  4. Once the time period has expired and the list is exported to one of my blog posts anyone visiting can VISIT your blog by clicking on the “Visit” link.  I don’t think there is enough of the word “visit” just yet in this sentence.
  5. WHEN I figure out how this little program works, there is a feature that enables everyone to take part in writing a story.  I would begin the story but not finish it.
  6. If you wish to take part in adding your bit to the story there will be a link to get the “Code” and put it in your blog’s HTML section of a new post page.  This is done by “Copy and Paste” so you don’t need to have HTML coding experience to join in.
  7. Write your bit of the story and there will be a link for someone else to add to their blog and continue the story along.
  8. This will enable others to get a peek at your blog and “hop” around from blog to blog to read the story that gets created.

Hey, if nothing else, we will entertain each other 🙂  There is a “Linky” to create a recipe if you have one you’d like to share, another one for prayer requests, another one to create a “Blog Hop”, and  much more.  “Linky” is a free thing if you want to check it out yourself.

      I certainly understand what you mean about limited time, especially in your household. We all have great ideas that seem to pop up in our minds for our blogs but it is finding the time to do them. Me, if I don’t write it down it is lost forever. Likewise, if I don’t act on the idea it gets lost forever. So, hopefully, you will have plenty of time to do what you want to do with your blog when the time comes. If I’ve gone on to the next thing and Linky is no longer part of what I’m doing you can always spend a bunch of time scrolling back through my blog. What a thought :-{

      Hope you and your family are doing well.

    The story bit sounds like a good laugh Leslie 🙂 Think we did something similar when we were children!

    I meant to do a post today but some new toys arrived in the post so I have been playing instead 🙂 Always an excuse!

    Love and hugs

      Oooooh, NEW TOYS?! Sounds like fun. You can share your genius in your next post 🙂

      Starting a story and letting it go from one place to another will certainly be worth a good laugh. Maybe even gain some insight into the inner workings of a crafty brain and learn a few tips along the way.
      Love you – Leslie
